CORK CITY MARATHON - Sun 4th June - NC Water Station.

rosemagner@gmail.com
The organisers of the Cork City Marathon are looking for a team of people from Naomhóga Chorcaí for the water station at Albert Road (close to the Elysian Tower). This water station is at about mile 16.5 on the marathon course and about 3.5 on the half course. Jim O’Donovan’s daughter Eimear is the station leader and she’s usually there from 8.30am to 1.30pm but the rest of the team doesn’t need to be there until about 10am.

These are the critical times –
8.30am    Only the station leader needs to be there this early
10am       Finish water station prep before the first runners arrive
10.20am  Leading  marathon runners
10.50am  Leading half marathon runners
10.45am – 12.15am  Busiest 90mins
1.10pm             Last runners gone
1.30pm            Clean-up complete and everyone free to go!

All volunteers get a packed lunch and a really nice volunteer t-shirt!! 10 - 12 people needed. Think it could be good fun. Anyone interested should sign up below.

This clashes with the Cork Harbour "Small boat cruise in company" (aka Cork Harbour Raid) in which we hope Sooty Terns and currachs will participate.
