Cape Clear - Easter Sunday Row from Baltimore.

We would hope to do our traditional Easter Sunday Cape Clear row again this year, weather permitting.  The row is a 26km round trip, from Baltimore, around Sherkin to Cape Clear and back to Baltimore after lunch and Easter Eggs on the Island, around the North of Sherkin, via Hare Island and/ or East Skeem.

This is a great O2C training row in stunning Roaring Water Bay, and would be well within the capability of regular rowers, as we take a few stops enroute and with a few hours (lunch) on Cape Clear in then middle of the day.

We would load boats after Saturday row, and aim provisionally to be in Baltimore for 9.30am, which means leaving the City at 8am TBC.  Baltimore Hight tide is just after 9am, and if we depart at 10am (quick launch and turnaround!) we will have the tide with us heading out and after lunch it will help us on return journey to Baltimore.  We would hope to be back in Baltimore about 6pm, with option for anyone who wnats, to stay overnight and get another row in on Easter Monday.

Number of boats going down depends on level of interest.  Let us know if interested, we will circulate more info in coming days and keep an eye on the weather.  If its not too bad, but not good enough for the full trip, there are lots of local route options, and we should be certain of a row regardless, unless forecast is horrible!

Count Martin and I in Oisín but as one person if that makes sense. One can row out, the other get the ferry with Oisín beag and then sway for the way back. Penguin parenting NC style!
