The 'plan A' is to launch the currachs at Five Mile Bridge at 4pm on March 17th, and row 6.3 km to Ath an Tui in the Gearhaheen River. We then hike 2.4 km to the Black Valley YH who are expecting us. On March 18th we row to Muckross Lake and into the channel past Dinish Cottage (Cafe) into the lower lake. Here we visit Muckross, Ross Castle, Innisfallen Is and O'Sullivan's Cascade, over the 18th & 19th. We willl stay in Arthur Vincent House on the night of 18th
'Plan B' arises if the levels between the old weir bridga and the lower lake are such that there is too strong flow - in which case we will move the boats by trailer from Muckross lake to the Lower lake.
'Plan C' arises if there is too much wind for currach rowing. In that case we will go hiking/biking thus getting the best from our bookings.
We need early confirmation of numbers - please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to come. At this time we have 5 in each of 4 boats. We can bring another boat id towing can be sorted.
